  The Sandhills Children's Center (SCC) presents the 3rd Annual Backyard Bocce Bash Saturday 14 August 2010. Event will be held at the Pinehurst Harness track, proceeds used to fund programs for SCC a 501C(3). Learn the game at the Friday evening WEICHERT REALTORS® - Larose & Company Pairings Party at Sandhills Children’s Center; It’s easy! Light appetizers and adult beverages will be served at this casual party. Gain bragging rights as the Backyard Bocce Bash Champions in the backyard of the Fair Barn and keep the trophy until next year! Organize a team, think of a clever team name and register soon. Bring a picnic for the tournament! For more information check out the website at www.backyardbocce.org Sandhills Children’s Center is a private, non-profit day school for young children ages birth through five who have mental retardation, sensory impairments, and other developmental disabilities. Many of these children are medically fragile and have severe and profound multiple handicaps. The mission of Sandhills Children’s Center is to provide services of the highest quality for children with and without special developmental needs. With locations in Southern Pines of Moore County and Rockingham of Richmond County, the Center offers comprehensive services, including daily transportation and speech, physical, and occupational therapy twelve months a year. The Center currently serves 122 children in the Southern Pines center-based program and 150 children in the home-based Outreach Program. The Rockingham campus is serving 172 children. |
